A decoded cipher message recovered by the cell references the project directly: 'Weymouth Deep Energy Project disturbance at the core. Lifeguard failed. The anchor is loose.' This strongly implies the construction of the wind farm — likely the sinking of turbine footings — inadvertently disturbed whatever anchoring artefact lies on the seabed, precipitating the current crisis. The project's backers have very deep pockets, and PISCES has been unable to trace the source of their funding.
