Oasis of Whispers

The Oasis of Whispers is the primary objective of H-Cell's North Africa mission — a desert oasis described by Ahmed as 'a library of dust and salt, a place of darkness.' It is the site of the Karotechia's ritual operation under Drexler, containing the pool at which he performed his appeasement ritual, the cave complex used for the underground chamber, and the open ground that became the battlefield for the final assault. Its name and Ahmed's warning suggest a long local awareness that the place is dangerous and strange. The oasis is ultimately the location where Hex and Hanover die, where Das Ungerhauer is brought down but not confirmed destroyed, and where Drexler's ritual is disrupted.
