Commandant

The Commandant — first encountered as Constable Alastair Croft at Tynum Manor House in 1942 Dorset — appears in two different roles across the campaign. In 1942 he processes the cell's cover story as shipwrecked American soldiers, pressing them on their lack of identification and the implausibility of their circumstances whilst ultimately accepting their account. In Cairo, a similar figure (the base commandant) summons H-Cell after Mother Superior Theodora's complaint about the bedsheet theft, delivering a restrained but pointed reprimand before dismissing the matter and turning to discuss bazookas with Pendleton.
