Lance Corporal Singh is the second-in-command of the Hedgehog SOE team, a turbaned and bearded Sikh soldier who carries himself with quiet professional competence. He is the first Hedgehog member to engage H-Cell in substantive conversation at the Wadi Rendezvous, asking pointed questions about what the Germans think they found and who the three high-value targets are. During the battle at the Oasis he operated the AA gun as directed, moved to support Taffy in clearing wounded enemy soldiers, and managed to put a solid hit into Das Ungerhauer despite having just watched his captain fail to faze the creature. By the battle's end he is described as 'going wibble' — in a state of psychological breakdown — alongside the rest of the surviving Hedgehog personnel.
