Scions of the Black Sun

The Scions of the Black Sun is a Karotechia splinter cell operating in North Africa under the leadership of Karl von Drexler, Himmler's personal mystic. Finch reveals their existence to H-Cell during a briefing in Exeter, noting they are led by three senior officers — Drexler, Brandt, and Das Ungerhauer — with Wehrmacht support. Haze recalls that the Scions were Karotechia turncoats who defected at some point during the war, and speculates that H-Cell's own actions in the 1942 timeline may have been the cause of that defection — a possible bootstrap paradox the cell prudently acknowledges by considering non-lethal options for engagement. Their operation at the Oasis of Whispers — a ritual of appeasement directed at whatever lies beneath the pool — is the direct target of H-Cell and Hedgehog's assault.
